For the first cover of SLICK, we went not only in search of excitement but also of an icon-that’s why Volume#1 portrays a No. 1 motorcycle. The NS500 V3 is the first with which Honda won the 500 world championship, proving to be the progenitor of a generation of exceptional motorcycles. We met the Queen in Tokyo, thanks to our friends at Racers Japan, and shortly thereafter in Europe we found its King: Freddie Spencer, who rode it like no one else in 1983, leading it to defeat the 4-cylinders.
